Local MP's Public Meetings

The West Midlands Interchange is so large it falls into 2 MP Constituencies:

Rt. Hon. Gavin Williamson & Rt. Hon. Jeremy Lefroy

Both MP’s are opposed to the development; South Staffordshire is a tourism county. This development would cause urban sprawl from neighbouring industrial areas.

It would destroy over 600 acres of green belt, which cannot be replaced. It will cause traffic chaos on the already busy road system, affecting the small villages and back roads in the surrounding area. It would bring noise, light and traffic pollution into the area and if it goes ahead many people would lose their homes.

Both MPs are holding public meetings:

Gavin’s was 21 April at Coven Memorial Hall; this was attended by hundreds of residents from across the development area opposed to the development.

Jeremy’s meeting is 5 May at Penkridge Peace Memorial Hall at 730pm. Although, Jeremy will no longer be an MP due to general election, this meeting was booked well beforehand and will still go ahead. Please do attend; lots of information will be available.
